Friday May 10, 2019. Desert Autism Foundation held the 16th Annual Scramble for Autism Golf Tournament event at Indian Wells Country Club. The foundation’s main mission is to help local families dealing with the challenges of raising a child with Autism by making therapies more affordable.
What’s unique about the funds we raise is that they stretch further through our efforts to negotiate special rates through some of the local occupational, music, speech and social therapists. That means every dollar that is raised equates to a much higher value in services to local children with autism. Parents are able to access these therapists through a small copay verses their full hourly rates – allowing for affordable, consistent therapy that can truly change these kids’ lives.
